CanoeKayak BC is hosting a Canoe Coaching Course out at Shumway Lake on Saturday June 4th. I am looking for at least 6 youth workers to take this course, minimum age of 16 to participate. I will sponsor up to 10 participants for the registration fees ($200.00 value), travel, meals and accommodations will be the responsibility of the participants. If you would like to take the course and be a canoe/kayak leader in your community please let me know by 4PM Thursday May 26th.

CANOEKIDS INSTRUCTORS COURSE
This course is a Coaching for Community Sport, National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) recognized course that is required for those delivering summer programs at our registered canoe clubs and is suitable for those wishing to deliver canoe/kayak programs in the community. This introductory paddling skills development program focuses on the development of flatwater canoe and kayak paddling skills in a safe, fun environment. There will be a ‘water’ session so please dress appropriately. Those who have summer camp experience and have previously taken this course are invited to return for a complimentary ‘refresher’ .
