Coordinator for SOSMA Project

Hello Everyone,

 Do you have an interest in the Fentanyl Crisis? If so, SOSMA is seeking a coordinator of this project to work with the Regional Naloxone Coordinator Shaughn Davoren to assist in this training camp. Traditional Métis Dance Workshop Saturday, April 13, 2019

All ages and nations welcome. Bring an Elder, a cousin, family member, or friend!

All children under 8  years old must be accompanied by an adult for the whole session.

Workshop is free.

Light lunch is provided.

Place: KVR Middle School gym, 300 Jermyn Avenue, Penticton.

Are you ready for spring? Lets go for an exploratory walk along the cottonwoods at Sun Oka Provincial Park and see what exciting signs of spring we can find.

Sunday, March 31
10am – 12noon.
Sun Oka Provincial Park near Summerland.

We will be walking along the riparian area trails, exploring the cottonwood forest and then circling around to Trout creek and the beach.
What to bring:
Dress in layers. 
Good walking boots (maybe still snow boots, or rubber boots to splash in the puddles!).
Bring a small bucket (like an ice cream pail or a yoghurt container),  pencil or pen and notebook,  and magnifying glasses if you have one.

BC Indigenous Provincial Sport Camps 




The Indigenous Sport, Physical Activity and Recreation Council (I∙SPARC) is pleased to present these provincial athlete development camps in partnership with the BC Athletics, BC Target Sports Association, and British Columbia Golf.

Who: BC Indigenous Youth (First Nations, Métis, Inuit) Male and Female ages 11-18.

Cost: FREE!!!   Thanks to the support of the Province of BC, the fee to participate in the camps is FREE and includes lunch and snacks.

Pre-Registration is Required!  Limited Space is available at each camp. Equipment will be provided; please bring a water bottle and dress for the weather.

Come join the fun April 13th at the Rutland Senior Centre, 150C Gray Rd. Kelowna, BC.    We will be having a dinner and dance with live music from the Heywires, be sure to bring your dancing shoes.  All are Welcome.

Tickets are $5.00 per person and can be purchased at the Kelowna Metis Association office, 147 Park Road, Kelowna, BC during office hours until April 5, 2019.  Hope to see you all there.
