The Métis Cultural Kinnections Youth Forum is an initiative of Métis Youth British Columbia (MYBC) that aims to provide an opportunity to Métis youth ages 15-19, from across the province who are living in care or in an out-of-care arrangement to learn about their culture and connect with the land. The forum will provide a culturally safe and supportive environment for the youth where they can connect with respected Métis Elders, leaders, community members, and other Métis youth. Through these relationships, youth will connect with their culture and their people. There will also be many opportunities to be out on the land and participate in outdoor activities such as archery and hiking.
Who is eligible to attend?
MNBC Youth Citizens and self-identified Métis Youth living in the province of BC, who are in the Continuing Custody (CCO) of the Director or on a Youth Agreement (YAG). Métis Youth do not need a MNBC citizenship card to attend the forum.
